Advice needed. Which genset for off grid?

Well crap. Now I'm gonna have to go kill the MF who taught me wrong. My bad, sorry coach. Atleast the idea was sound. In this thread a fella talks about the smaller 3rd generation units came with the smarts to parallel where the 802/803 were lacking...

Advice needed. Which genset for off grid?

Guyfang jogged my memory (actually disappointed I didn't mention it before) from the post about the M1101 trailer discussion. KTMguy, this is the best of both worlds for everything that been discussed in this thread... A PU (power unit) is a single generator running all by its lonesome, a PP...

Advice needed. Which genset for off grid?

Coug, I'm tired so hope I get my words right...ya can't examine kw load for fuel usage comparisons. Since we're comparing a nearly identical 2-cylinder to a 4-cylinder...at idle 2 vs 4 of the same size pistons will use the proportionate amount of fuel, same holds true for at rpm...1800 rpm is...

Advice needed. Which genset for off grid?

I'm with the other fellas...gotta calc your max load. That will tell you what you need. If it's less than 5kw stay with the 802 because as already mentioned the 803 is gonna burn roughly double the fuel and if you don't give it enough of a load the wetstacking fairy is likely to visit. I...
