    H140 fuel pump?

After taking the firebox apart to the one millionth time, I discovered there's a RESET button on K1, the relay control hooked to the eyeball flame sensor! Upon reinstalling the firebox components tomorrow, I'm hoping pressing that flame sensor K1 relay reset finally gets me back in business...

    H140 fuel pump?

regarding "workmanship", silver soldering / brazing the RF shield to the fuel line collapsed the inside of the line thus restricting the fuel flow. See pix. The connectors on the capacitor mounted on the high voltage transformer were wrong....they will fall off the connecting point and the...

    H140 fuel pump?

I made a new 1/4 inch fuel line using the original flare fitting "nuts". Incredibly poor workmanship on the original fuel line. Will try to install it tomorrow at the latest to see what else next needs fixing LOL

    H140 fuel pump?

Here are some pix of the innerts. The fuel line has to be replaced....corrosion at the brazing points. I'd say don't even think of turning this on until you dismount the pump, take it apart and clean out the goop, and clear the fuel line to the burner.....DON'T JUST TURN IT ON!!!

    H140 fuel pump?

OK, here we go....I too have a beautiful new H-140. It failed for the following reason(s). The fluid put into the machine to "preserve" the pump, it turned into a gooie paste and stalled the fuel pump. The coupler from the pump shaft to the squirrel cage blower broke and thus disconnected...

M1097a2 trans light stays on, turns off when I give it throttle

I saw on YouTube a fellow who disconnects the xmsn controller plug and shorts pin A to pin E. Started the engine. At that point he started getting codes that, using a table, tells you what problems you're having. Good luck, 'Larry, M1161

    MWM diesel?

I have that starter, new in the box. And yes it cost me about 600+ to get it from Brazil and a long time to get it. The bad news, it is not for the M1161. It is 12 volts and has a 13 teeth gear. It did not mount on the M1161 adapter plate. So, yes, it's yours for a steep discount if you'd...

    MWM diesel?

Just to be clear to anyone following this thread, the starter I ordered from MWM was a complete lo$$. It wasn't compatible with my MWM diesel in the M1161. Since it was only my solenoid failure, I found an exact replacement solenoid (24V) on eBay. Simply slipped the replacement on the...

    MWM diesel?

I'll be back to you with pix in a few days unless you want to give me an e-address to send directly. I don't do well with attaching pix on this complicated Steel site. I like GrowlerForum.com , less complicated. This starter has no gearbox and is small...Type # M002T8871ZA, No. 77 28, and...

    MWM diesel?

Too, the "new" starter that doesn't fit has a 9 tooth gear. The flywheel requires 13 teeth on the starter pinion gear.

    MWM diesel?

I too ordered a starter, not cheap, and it was in no way a match for the M1161's MWM engine! I managed to fix my original starter by finding the solenoid replacement on the eBay place., $29!! The nose of the "correct" starter is 3 inches diameter and too long. It requires two adapter plates...

    M1161/M1163/M1164(trailer) Documents

My starter solenoid was fried. I ordered up a new, original $29 24V solenoid on eBay and refitted it to the original starter motor and back in business. The "nose" on this starter is unique. I couldn't find a geared starter to match it anywhere. Don't lose any of the parts!! The gear train...

    Growler battery size?

FWIW, my 1161's arrived with "off the shelf" batteries. While pursuing the parts under the lid in the back, I found and researched a black unit with lots of heat disapating fins. It's designed to regulate the currents going into the two series connected batteries. In particular, according to...

    M1161/M1163/M1164(trailer) Documents

Just one other alternative I forgot to mention, It is possible to use a 12V starter, the one MWM in Brasil does supply by relocating the starter's feed cable to the tap between the two batteries. That cable can be found on the 200 amp. Klixon circuit breaker in the back near the compressor...

    M1161/M1163/M1164(trailer) Documents

Correct, there are two machined, stacked aluminum "plates" on the nose of the original starter that push the starter back from the adapter plate so the pinion gear mates with the ring gear. The big mystery has been what is the Denso part number for that starter? Then of course, you have to...

The local parts store :>) True! But that starter isn't one of them! My 2012 M1161 is like new outta the box. Apparently the starter solenoid burned up before it ever got on the road. No wear on the pedals or any other parts. The starter was ordered thru Hercules in OH. Nice people...

    M1161/M1163/M1164(trailer) Documents

A MYSTERY SWITCH IN THE m1161!!! I took apart the instrument panels of my 2012 M1161 in an attempt to get the sand out of the corners and I found a "mystery push button" hidden under the air filter monitor meter! For reference, it would be just above the passenger's left knee. It's under the...
