I saw, somewhere, that a guy welded 1/4” plate under the bed where the wheel would contact, in order to keep the braces from tearing up his treads.

Thanks kendelrio, The AC , VIC 3 and Air Ride seats make this a completely different vehicle. The VIC 3 allows you to have conversations on the phone and with passengers at highway speeds.

Mine was in terrible shape. You can tell it’s a patch, but it looks just fine. I think It’s a good idea to paint covers to protect them against the sun and wind.

On that note, I had a cargo cover that was worn to threads in parts. I painted up to the threads, then I wet a bedsheet with paint and laid it across the damaged area. Then rolled paint across the edges to make sure it sealed. It has held up for 5 years and many 100’s of miles.

I’ll ask. I wonder if my city will allow it. I don’t know the code here.

I tried to get a quote from another electrician. They wouldn’t do it. Said their company isn’t allowed to install interlock kits. They sell Generac and I guess they have some sort of agreement to only use Generac parts.

240/50a I had considered wiring it for a 20kw/100a generator. It wouldn’t hurt. Labor is the same, how much more could the wire be? $200 more? I have to talk to the electrician anyway. I’m going to ask.

I have the generator in my garage now. I fired it up yesterday. Even in the garage I was impressed with how quiet it is.
