You can click on the date above the last view logged on the rt side and it will take you to the last post. Let me see if I am smart enough to take a screen shot of it......

need hemtt Detroit Diesel 8v92ta mechanic near Sacramento

+1 on NOT using shop air to pressurize the system. Go to NAPA or the likes and get a pressure tester. I have one I could ship to you, but I am leaving for 9 days. If yo wanna wait though.....

    Sprag Clutch Rebuild / Repair

IMHO, easier to get an air shift t-case and swap it out instead of trying to mess with it. In my case, had to drive 60 miles to see if the sprag worked. After 3 trips, swapped it out, never looked back.....well, sorta, wish I still had my tuck :(

    M818 won’t turn over

Think he said he has already done that. If the truck moves with the clutch depressed or in neutral, no issue behind the engine. Cut the filter open to see if there is any debris. Could be a compressor.

    M818 won’t turn over

Cut the filter open and see what is in the pleats. Could have a locked up trans. Roll under it and see if you can use a bar through one of the holes in the flywheel housing on the flywheel teeth.

Water manifold leak can't find gaskets

X2 on making your own, LOTS less expensive than a laser cutter. All you need is a small ball peen hammer

    Rusty fuel cap

It rusts at the cap and top of the tank because that is the high spot and condensation goes to the high spot. Condensation happens because there is warm/hot fuel returning to the tank, and in your case, high ambient temps. When the outside air temp drops, the fuel stays warm longer and creates...

    Spring Brakes Not releasing

If these are like OTR stuff, caging might not help. Caging releases the spring pressure. If the shoes are rusted to the drums, chock the wheels, build air, release the brakes and roll under it with a hammer. Smack the drums. If you get a ringing sound, they are free, a thud is stuck or out of...

    M929A2 Hour meter not functioning

Normal hour meters work when ignition power is on, some do go through a sender that is used as a switch to only record actual run time in the oil rifle....oil pressure closes the switch to send power to the meter....Did you look in the TM section for the manual that works for your truck?

    M923a2 coolant system repair

No paint on the inside, coolant will eventually take it off. You can powder coat, that works well.

    Still not starting or idling

The book I have doesn't have p/n's that high, it was published in 1997. Call Cummins, you'll need your engine s/n. A good parts guy can figure out what uses that p/n injector. Usually, marine injectors are flowed higher than automotive. Boats don't have down hill, they are constant power...

    Still not starting or idling

The pump returns a boat load of fuel. To see if it is an injector issue you need to see if there is flow from the injector return....the small line that is on top of all the injectors that terminates at the fuel filter inlet fitting. The injectors use every drop of fuel supplied to them, there...

    M923a2 coolant system repair

Early engines had plastic or whatever it was made of but that didn't last long, maybe 6 mos to a year into production. Easy to look at, 2 bolts. Usually if no coolant is pushing out the overflow, not overheating. So if the gauge says 230 and no coolant leaving the radiator, fan not on, not...

    M923a2 coolant system repair

Looks like a Freightliner radiator. Was it pushing coolant out of the overflow? What temp did it get to? Gauges are known to be incorrect.
