Getting the right paper technical manuals

That helped a lot. I need a -20 to help work through any issues that come up like the most recent one with the transfer case interlock solenoid. Thanks for y our help.

Getting the right paper technical manuals

Would you buy the operator's manual, or one of the others?

Getting the right paper technical manuals

I have downloaded the manuals on this site to try to become more informed about my 1983 vintage M925 A0. I sure prefer paper over reading computer screens for manuals. Can anyone point me to the most appropriate manuals in paper bound form? I'd print them out, except they are over 900 or so pages.

M925 Over weight boo boo - Transfer Case Won't Engage

The reason for wanting a 4 ton load was that this was my first trip using the truck and it had been sitting for years before I bought it. I wanted to make a trial run at the quarry and down my hill before loading up heavier.

M925 Over weight boo boo - Transfer Case Won't Engage

Today I took Gomer (my 925 A0) converted with a reinforced dump bed to the quarry to pick up a partial load of dirty base for our construction project. (Our driveway to the house site is steep and gravel truck drivers in the area are boycotting our build because of the decent.} Anyway, I hope...

Thanks. When I originally posted I didn't know the differences in the A2.

Weight of Cummins crate engine for M925-A2

Just to follow up, the motor and crate combined weighed about 3,500# to 4,000#. My mini-ex couldn't handle it. I ended up paying a guy $70 who was delivering sheetrock to use his Moffet. It was rated at 6,000# and placed the motor nicely in the corner of the shop.

What do I do with this motor?

What clued you into it being an a0 instead of an a1 or a2? I realize I need to do more research, but you did it so quickly.

What do I do with this motor?

I appreciate the good advice. I didn’t know where to start. The first thing I need to do is find someone with a big skid steer with forks to get it out of the truck. I need to use the truck pretty bad.

What do I do with this motor?

I hope the pics are helpful. If there are specific shots to help identify it, please let me know. I‘m pretty sure I will sell it, and cheap. I just need to have a mechanic check out the motor in the truck to ensure the sounds I’m hearing are normal and I won’t need the crate motor any time soon...

What do I do with this motor?

Any idea what to do with it. I need to get it out of the back of the truck and would prefer not to store it? I don't really want to spend a lot to get it going or verified as a good engine. On the other hand, I'd hate to sell a good motor at scrap rates.

What do I do with this motor?

First, I'll introduce myself. My name is Chuck and I live in NW Arkansas. I just bought a 1988 M925 that has been converted to a dump bed. The truck runs fine and the motor powering it sounds good and appears solid. An additional motor came with the truck, bolted to a steel crate. It appears...

Brilliant. Thank you. I should be able to handle it out of the truck bed.

Weight of Cummins crate engine for M925-A2

I just bought a new-to-me M925 with a converted dump bed. Itg comes with what appears to be a remanufactured engine. It will arrive to me in the back of the truck. I'm concerned I don't have any equipment big enough to unload it. Does anyone have an idea what the crate motor might weigh? My mini...
