What did you do to your deuce this week?

Great to see that your getting real use out of your Deuce! Your winch may come in very handy in the woods. I like your equipment plate on the back too. I'm envious of the size of your shop. My garage is nowhere near big enough for my Brutus. I hear what you say about the "Truck Destroyer...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I like your use of the 90 degree street elbow. Where did you buy the valve? I may have to do that myself in the Spring when I'll have a small radiator leak repaired. Thanks for the excellent pics too!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well, getting air wiper motors to work in a "normal" fashion is not an exact science. My passenger side wiper motor used to run so fast that the wiper arm looked like an airplane propeller. The driver's side ran very slowly and often not at all. So, I slipped a vacuum cap with a very slight cut...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I can believe it. I usually carry a roll of shop towels with me just in case the defroster doesn't get the job done. I often hand sync the wiper motors too in between shifts.

That is a damn nice install! Looks like you could start WW3 with that baby!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Really neat micro-switch install!!! Man, if my cab floor only looked that clean and painted. I really feel like a failure now!

    Hello from Pennsylvania

No problem John B. I'd like to know where in PA you can get the new passengers side fenders from. Would you please supply me with the info? I would also check with Memphis Equipment on the driver's side. Their price may be a bit better and their shipping is very reasonable. The reason I say that...

    Hello from Pennsylvania

Don't forget over-protective helicopter Moms. Can you imagine these kids in boot camp? I used to buy airplane and car models with my allowance. It used to take me six to eight weeks to earn enough for one. Your Dad sounds great. A lot like my Dad.

    Hello from Pennsylvania

John B. I got the hood latches from Erik's Military Surplus. They were $4 each in 2013.

    Hello from Pennsylvania

I have the beginnings of rust in the same spots you do on your cab. I noticed you're missing the two spring hold down latches at the front of your hood. I've bought those before. I'll try to dig up the receipts for them if you want to know where to get them. There are two more on the top of the...

    Hello from Pennsylvania

I can't say I know Kearny well. I went to the Chester Jackson truck driving school there. It's a pretty neat thought towing a small Jeep with a J10. You must have really felt adult plowing with the jeep at that age. You never see kids helping with yard work anymore. The first half of my...

    Hello from Pennsylvania

Kearny. That's where I learned to drive tractor trailers almost four decades past. It sounds like Heaven there in Texas to me. My repair activities are virtually shut down up here for the Winter excepting for emergency repairs. You left the Air Force in '79. I left the Navy in '77. I guess that...

    Hello from Pennsylvania

Welcome to Steel Soldiers John! I can't begin to tell you how much help my fellow Steel Soldiers have been to me over the last seven years. Their mechanical advice and friendship have been invaluable to me and Brutus (my Deuce). I'm not knowledgeable on body work, so I'll be interested to read...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Your Deuce looks sharp! When you say cold in Illinois you ain't kidding. I lived there for four years. It gets really cold there! A lot of snow too.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hi Aussie Bloke! You know watching your video of the cable winding, I realized how various English speaking countries use phrases differently. In the States when you say "I'm working one handed" you imply that you have only one good arm or have lost a hand. In the States when we are working by...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

From the sounds of it the cattle aren't much help. I live on an acre with a lot of trees and I'm surrounded on three sides by woods. I know leaves believe me. I pull a Craftsman 12 bushel sweeper behind my Cub Cadet. It's awesome! I blow or rake heavy accumulations of leaves into the woods and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I poured some anti-gel into my fuel tank and ran Brutus for 10 minutes to make sure the treated fuel was circulated through the pump and injectors. It gets below 32 degrees here at night now. I plugged in the block heater too. Then, I spent the next four hours cleaning the leaves off of my lawn.

    my new m35a2

Of course. I should have realized it was dropped. I had my front end up in the air on my driveway for two weeks. I used 6" x 6" lumber under the jack stands and never got under the truck while it was up. Glad my driveway held up. Nice welding by the way! Thank you for the pictures. I'm...

I had damaged front brake linings too. Someone left two 3/8" steel nuts in the drum. I didn't have the bent shoes you do though. I wonder what could have caused them to bend inward like that? That's some pretty thick steel. I see you have a new pair of hubs too.
