This is a copy of the lesson used at the schoolhouse for generator mechanics on the 831, it explains a lot of how it operates. I am sorting through lots of manuals I have on hard drives, so more to come.
I am uploading to the manual section too, but figured most people won't see a new listing...
I will share these as I sort them, I have several hard drovers and a few dozen thumb drives with various files from all sorts of sources from before I retired from the USAR. I have a ton of stuff to sort...
Here is the first one, a nice paper on the 4L80
Back when I had hundreds of NOS pioneer tool racks (all gone now) I did the research to cross NSN's to civilian manufacturers and did test fitments to get sources of the right tools for my customers. Here is what I found, so it may save everyone some headaches searching:
Axe:
Premium quality is...
At least I am 99% certain that is what I found- the bed has been hacked up a bit.
The owner is going to drag it out of the briars for me in a few days so I can get a better look.
The Swiss Model MO-05 (Model of 1905) Bicycles were made from 1905 to 1993 virtually unchanged, and stayed in Swiss Army service until 2001 when the Bicycle Infantry was disbanded.
The bikes are heavy at over 50 pounds, but ride really smoothly. They feature a really neat rear drum brake...
I saw this when looking for stuff for my electric conversion for my 105:

Has anyone used one? Thinking of one for my M416A1.
Since the good folks from Durhamtown have a 3000 acre facility up here now...

The trails will be a lot more extreme than the GA rally, but some should be doable for our stuff.
I had a lot of folks asking for details on my conversion on my 105 at the GA rally, and while it is not done yet I have it hooked up and working. I am starting this now and will update as I go with what I change. I will put links to anything I use to make it easy to find, and am going to write...
Not the same model trailer, but the exact same M105 I towed and slept in!
So I bought it!
Since it has sentimental value to me I am going to build it into something I will use- first step was a lunette flip and bolster trailer tires and wheels.
I got this one a few years ago, and it was changed enough to never be a perfect restoration, so I am doing it in IDF Six Days War markings. Rough paint got done today.
In a fit of idiocy I bought a Number 7 Wrecker set on eBay- I thought I had a ride for it but that just fell through. Anyone passing by Terry MS soon who can bring it east, or anyone close planning to come to the GA rally who can bring it?
Today I stumbled on a desert tan canvas cargo cover and end curtains. I have seen lots of tan vinyl, but this is the first cover I have seen in canvas in anything but OD. Has anyone seen these before, and any clue when they date from? I am guessing they are Desert Storm era from when the...
We had a good event last year, lets make it bigger this year!

The memorial service is at 1100 hours, we will start lining trucks up around 0900 but if you show up anytime...
Found at a local municipal auction, evidently the PD got it surplus and just let it sit.
Turns over and fires on ether, but not without so it needs a carb rebuild. Front master cyl is shot needs tires, chain is rusty.
It is a late model for sure, has the IR headlight with no blackout lights...
M200 Trailer Dayton OH to Clyde NC
Just snagged an M200 with MICLIC at WPAFB, anyone interested in bringing it to NC for me, or just picking it up and hanging on to it until I can come grab it?
EUC should be clear in- whenever they do it.
I have always wondered how well it would work- they strap on quite nice! I am going to remove the 2 clamps used on the HMMWV as they are not needed for this. The two bars on top sit on top of the brushguard and I strap it on.
I need 2 deuce fenders moved from JuddsPaintballs place in MD to me in the Asheville NC area. If you are heading down I-81 and can grab them I can meet you up on *1 in East TN as well.
