    Click click BOOM!

So.... Here I am today, working in the m1009. It's nice and sunny and 75 out. Light breeze. Dogs rolling around in the grass. I decided today was the right day to put the spin on fuel filter on the 1009. That was a pretty easy process. Everything went pretty smooth. Thanks pawnshop for the parts...

Got my MKT to the house today. 375 mile trip and all went well. Had lots of tools in it, but no MBU's.... Oh well, can't win them all. Anyway, here are a couple pics. :-) It got dark on me, so I'll have more pics tomorrow. It is a two man job to set one up. One thing that I was very happy about...

    Big toys or money makers?

Do any of you make money with you MV's? I know the answer is yes, but I wonder if you could tell us how you use them. I'm not looking for any private information, but tell us how you put these old warriors to work in their new life. Do you use them everyday, part time, never or cash only and...

    "New" 1969 Deuce

Well guys...I finally got lucky with GL. Got my Deuce home from Redstone today. It looks like a recent rebuild. Tags say 2008 for batteries. Not sure on the motor. It still has fairly fresh paint on the engine. It is really nice! Needs some new tires on the front, but started up and drove fine...

    Locked or Broken?

Quick question for all the Deuce mechanics: Can you run a spool in the front diff with lockout hubs? If my thinking is correct, you could. This is because the lockouts would allow the spool to not spin at all. Also, the air-locker would also disconnect the driveshaft and allow the spool to spin...

    Spring Seat Covers?

Anyone have a line on a replacement seat back and seat bottom on a deuce spring seat? Mine are falling apart and don't look to be salvageable. The seat is mechanically sound. I even out a new shock in it. I hate to spend the money for a whole new seat. Thanks for the help.

    M275 Tractor Recovery

Here goes my first recovery... er.... pickup from a private seller. You decide if it is a recovery. It will be a medium distance. (201 Miles) One thing going for me is that the owner says it is in good running condition. It is a former brush fire truck. I bought it sight-unseen. Wish me luck...

To Bob or not To Bob?

Well friends.... There is a good discussion going on another thread about Bobbing a 5ton. I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone thought about the general question of: To Bob or Not to Bob. In the interest of full disclosure, I own a bobbed deuce. I bought it from another member...

    M275 Sound off...

:-P All right guys... I am thinking about converting a Deuce to a M275 tractor. Guys that have done it and guys that have real M275's let me know what you think about the trucks and how you use them. The reason I'm thinking about it is twofold. One: license and fees are a lot less than...

Here are the rules for alternative fuels.

I was doing some research today and ran across this web page at the department of energy. It has a link to each state and answers some general questions about what the requirement are for different fuels. It also lays out the way they "should" be taxed. Take a look. Click on your state and see...

    Good Brakes... Thanks GOD!!!!

Last night, while going out to Col Sanders for takeout in the deuce, I had the chance to test my braking distance in my bobbed deuce. I had a 16 or so young gal turn in front of me as I was about 100 feet from crossing the intersection. I locked up all four 15.5's and scared the living s%^$ out...
