    What did I buy?

Last summer I went to an MV rally here in Ohio and bought what was billed as a vinyl rear cover for a M35. It looked about the right size and not to bad a shape so the purchase was made. Well I got it home and as my luck would have it it didn't fit. The part number is P/N 36102. Does...

    Dancing guages

While tooling along in the deuce this weekend I noticed at times the dash gauges were acting crazy. Some merely were slow dancing side to side while others were quivering with the speed of a reciprocal saw on its side. While I don't begrudge them a little fun once and a while it would be...

Looking for a trailer bed for that shortened deuce

Was looking through the GL site and ran across this. Seems to me someone was looking for one. http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=1431549&convertTo=USD

    Roof top Pool

Has anyone found an effective way to get rid of the water that pools on top of the canvas over the cargo area on the 35? I added the extra boards as per the PS magazine article but it doesn't seem to be enough. Thanks

I was thinking ----good or bad idea

I really really hate (although I do for safety's sake) to check the brake fluid. I was wondering if I could disconnect the vent line to the master cylinder and run it to a vented remote transparent reservoir mounted in an easily accessible area. Can anyone see a problem with doing this?

    Bent metal

I think I know the answer to this question but just in case.... As you can see from the picture someone in the past has chosen to bend the axle shield over to make a crude safety lock for the spindle nuts. Currently, they have star washers on them that seem more than adequate for keeping the...

    Need adviced

In my fervor to finish my front end work on the deuce I forgot to lube the front axle bushing in the inside end of the stub hub (actual term?) when I put it over the axle. The cavity is packed with plenty of NAPA's finest grease that crossed over with the specification in the Lube order. Is...

    Aw Nuts

I can not find the torque specifications for the hub where the bearings ride on the front axle (12 3/8s studs). My experience with the manual on CD is less than productive. Does anyone know what its called and where in the manual I can find it Thanks

    King pin

I am replacing the king pin bushings on my 35 and I noticed the replacements I got from Memphis do not have a champher in the bushing (grease path) like the original bushings have. I would assume they are the right bushings and with the number of trucks they recondition. Anyone have...

    How full is full

If the outer wheel bearings are lubricated by grease, how full do you fill the differential? To the plug or within xx percent on an inch of the plug? Sorry if this question has been asked before and I missed it. Thanks

    Brake Shoes

Are the brake shoes on a 35 the same front and rear? Where is the best place to get a set? Thanks

    Part Number

Can anyone tell me what this part number fits? PN 19207-10899410 Its a fender, passenger side appears larger than a deuce I looked on the part number cross reference but did not see it. Thanks

    Solargizer

What is the average voltage, at the battery, of a vehicle equipped with a Solagizer? Mine is sitting for the winter and the voltage at the battery is 24.9 volts (sun was out). That is about what it was when I put the Soligizer on about 3 months ago. Is this about normal? Before I put it on...

    Might be a good idea

If you like me your getting a might forgetful nowadays, today as the Arctic blasts are descending on us here in Ohio it suddenly occurred to me that I didn't know if I had checked the antifreeze protection in the deuce. Thankfully I had and wrote it on the radiator in one of my previous...

    Solargizer

Question: Does anyone know if mounting a solargizer on a magnet will interfere with its operation or damage it? At times the truck is covered and if attached to the truck it wouldn't work. Thanks

    King Pin bushings

Ok I have had enough of the clunky noise in the front end. Has anyone changed a set of King Pin Bushings? Also, how hard is it to change the front axle seal? I am tired of a grabby brake as well. Do I need any special tools and do you have to have a machine shop push in and hone the new...

    Canvas question

I have a OD canvas cover on the rear of the M35, do the little spring clips (looks like they hold some sort of strap that I don't have to roll up the sides) go on the outside? I have always put them on the outside but I am not sure. BTW, can you get a sand colored rear cover? Thanks
