Just bought a 1954 REO M35A1 original gas engine!
I never thought I would own a truck like this 10 years ago, and now I own two. This fell into my lap and I took it. Incredibly original and solid. swapping out a transfer case. suggestions?
Does anyone have pictures or a writeup of swapping out a transfer case safely and cheaply? I bought my 53 about 2 years ago now, and it has not left my yard. The stock input yoke is toast and I suspect internal damage. The guy I bought it from gave me an extra case, so Im just going to swap them...- austinaubinoe

Update on 53 REO T case.
Well... Looks like my T case has good gears!! Looks like the input is broken though! Attached are pics of my transfer case, and the input on the spare T case, and the Good high range gear (I believe). Man it sure is easy to get to the t case / trans on these trucks! Help me find info on my REO!
Ok so my truck is titled as a 53 REO, the axles are dated Jan 54 and the engine is an 87 WHITE miltifuel. Pretty sure it was a gasser because the exhaust is routed through holes cut with a oxy torch.
