I'm considering a roll bar for my M1009 (see link below), although I'm not sure of it's real benefit as I don't do any serious off-roading. I initially thought it would be a good safety feature (in the event of an accident) but am having second thoughts.
Any suggestions or experience would be...
I've been looking at LED trail lights for my M1009 brush guard but haven't seen any preferred manufacturer or type on the board. Any experience or suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm not sure my search and Google fu have identified the correct part I'm trying to identify.
Specifically, it's the small card (not the glow plug relay card) near the starter relay, which I discovered doing “Doghead's Starter Relay Modification". I believe it's a starter relay card...
I need to replace my M1009 radiator cooling fan, which was jerry-rigged by the previous owner. I noticed LMC sells a dual cooling fan and was wondering if it's really that helpful. Any insight would be appreciated.
I've seen the replacement seat covers online (e.g., LMC) but was wondering if there are preferred covers that may be better.
Any insight would be appreciated.
I'm looking at new tires for my M1009 and want something that looks aggressive (size 33/12.5/15). I'm considering the following:
BFG Mud Terrain T/A KM2
Nitto Trail Grappler M/T
Cordovan Mud Claw M/T
Any experience or opinions would be appreciated.
I've read conflicting information on if it's possible to pull an M1009A2 (3/4 ton) trailer with an M1009 CUCV. I own both and was hoping to use them together.
Thanks in advance for your insight.
My transmission is sticking between 1st and 2nd gear but does shift after increasing RPMs with a hard shift. I replaced the vacuum pump thinking that was the culprit but I was wrong. I suspect this may be a death sentence for the truck but I'm wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to...
Forgive my ignorance but I can't find a source for rear cap quarter windows for my 1986 M1009. I read in other threads that sliding windows are preferred and that factory tint is an option.
Any ideas on who to contact would be appreciated.
I haven't found much information on mounting canoes or kayaks on M1009 or Chevy K5 Blazers.
I realize the detachable roof presents complications, however, I'd appreciate any insight from experienced users.
