Got a M1031 for my service truck for the past 5 yrs ,loyal to say the least. Before that was a Doka Unimog so time to try a LMTV?
Is there a reliable parts source? I.E. shoes, cans, Is the HEUI system 12v or 24v?

New starter, Relay (doghead),wires, Solenoid, Batt Cables and Batts. Spins great, starts like a 6.2
Has got to be the trigger wire for the solenoid.
New wire for the Relay to Solenoid keep the red wire on disconnect the brown at solenoid of course.
Not sure what else the red wire trips upon...
I believe the wiring is still classified for the Alternator system.?
Simply put dose the E.C.M. on the Alternator override and or govern the Cold start advance/high idle circuit?

Hi all.. New to the site,been in the hobby for awhile. Really considering a bobbed 5-ton for my next service truck. Had a 416 Doka for 5 years as daily work truck and turned out to be a great work vehicle and of course fun.
A bobbed 5-ton with a service body is what I been tossing around...
