After action report, new carburetor from Brooks engine service

So I got tired of fighting with the mutt's carb, and decided to try one of Brooks engine services rebuilds. Wow! this thing has never run so good. No flat spots, the only time you need choke is on dead cold start, and only for a second. I am very happy with the results.

20 inch combat rim "o" rings

here is another source for the 20" diameter, thick o rings five bucks and change each from Six Robblees, wich as luck would have it is right down the street from my work. Dont't know where the 541 area code is. Mods, if this fits better elsewhere, please move. Hi Marc, OR-320-T is a good part...

    M923a1 failure, need input.

Went to take the girls for the once a month spin down to the ice cream store. Pre flight checks were good. About three miles down the road I notice the temp gage at a little over 200 deg. This truck has never ran that hot before. Another half mile or so and it's at 210. I plan for a landing...

    trailer identification M100?

I admit it, I dont know squat about the smaller trailers. Stumbled upon this in a barter page. Would it be the correct vintage and size to put behind a 1974 m151a2?

    M151a2 engine question.

Getting familiar with the new addition but have run into something I haven't seen before. On cold start the engine generally fires right up, but within about a minute it begines to smoke blue. After about five to ten minutes of running it clears and doesn't smoke any more as long as warm. Once...

Pulled the trigger, Mutt is home!

Safe recovery! A little rust in the floor boards, undercarriage looks great. Engine needs a little attention, idles good, acts like it starves out about mid throttle. Noisiest vehicle I have ever owned, lots of clunking to be chased down. Having never owned one of these I don't know what normal...

Mutt advice before I pull the trigger, help me out mutt guys!

Anything special to watch out for? Owner says it runs and drives, all origional. What does uncutt refer to, did they cut the body to de-mill? I am fairly mechanical, and understand the rubber stuff will need replacement, etc. It's the stuff a person unfamiliar with this vehicle might miss that I...

Can you help me with the width of a mutt?

My computer is fighting with PDF files at the moment. Either the width is not in the first three tech manuals I looked at, or it is behind the lovely black squares my computer is generating. I am trying to find the wheel to wheel outside width to see if one will fit on my trailer. I tried a...

    Nhc 250 starter replacement options.

The cranking speed on my engine (nhc 250, m923) has begun to slow down. I load tested the batteries, all good. It still starts but I think I might be on borrowed time. Has anyone tried the Bosch long haul starters? At 282.00 new they seem reasonable price wise. Any other suggestions? thanks.

New twist on the dual fuel feed mod?

So, I was wondering if anyone has attempted the dual feed mod using the crossover tubes as a feed point instead of the plugs in the ends of the cylinder heads. I would think that if dual feed from the ends is an improvement, wouldn't dual feed from the centers be even better. This way at least I...
