I’ve been trying to hunt down some pics of how the m915/916 uparmored cabs were laid out with all of the additional equipment, i.e. radios, jammers, BFT, etc. also trying to figure out what company made the roof rack they used on them in country. Any help is appreciated.
Just as the title states, I’m looking for some interior shots of the M915 series during the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts. Mainly looking for ****s on how the radios, BFT and IED jamming equipment is setup. Picture below is of the type of truck I’m looking for. Thanks.
So I’ve found a tracked trailer for sale for a really good price, and I’d like to do a MICLIC build. The only issue I see is that the trailer is missing the launcher and line charge support framing, and is essentially just the frame rails and suspension with track. I know there’s rockets out...
Hey everyone, I hit a snag before the holidays with shipping an item from Hawkmans place to my house. I’ve always used fastenal, but they wouldn’t ship it since it’s an HVAC item, no idea why though. I just got a quote from UPS for freight, but it’s like $500! Anyone have any ideas or heading...
Hey everyone, I'm in the process of submitting a request to TACOM for a tracked vehicle display for my towns veterans memorial. It's a really nice little memorial, but feels really incomplete without a nice piece of equipment standing guard. I've gathered all the required information, but before...
I've won 3 small tent heaters in Ft. Riley, and an S250 shelter A/Cunit at Tobyhanna in PA, but I've never had to ha e anything picked up from either location. Is there anyone doing pickups and shipping in those locations? Admin, could we look at doing a list of people helping with pickups at...
I'm potentially in need of help from an M1070 or similar owner with the rear winches. Please hit me up if you think you may be able to help. Thank you.
I'm looking at getting a truck and trailer to haul my M901 and before I do I have a couple of questions regarding permits and allowable weight. I'd really like to do a Hemtt or PLS tractor and M870 trailer set up, as I really like the look and I can put a knuckle crane on the Hemtt. I've looked...
I've searched around on here for pointers on filling this thing out, but would anyone be willing to let me see what one of theirs looks like? Please cover your personal info up, but I just put not applicable to a lot and I don't know if that's right. Thanks.
Just asking out of curiosity, but has anyone seen any of the LAV-300/600's in private ownership? I know I've read someone on here owned one at one point and I know that there's been one worked on for a SWAT team, but just didn't know the availability. If I recall correctly they were never sold...
Looking for any advice and parts for an M901a1 build I'm going to be doing. Great hull, but it's missing power pack, drives and track. I've been rounding up some part sources that I've known of, but I'd love to hear about anything new and people's experiences. Thanks.
I've been working on a custom Halftrack project and the axle ratios are different for the front and rear axles, which has caused a huge headache, but I've found a way forward at the moment. In the process of doing the math for different tire sizes and the axle ratios needed I got to thinking...
Ok, so I've found some APC's and other vehicles that a museum has, but wants to sell. They said they can't sell to a private person without demilling. Has anyone encountered this before? Is there a way around this? I'd really hate to see these things get scrapped if myself and others could buy...
I'm posting this here, since I'm not interested in a lesson on what I should or shouldn't spend my money on or why I need to do what I want. Typical of the purists over on G503 it's always a question of "why" and "you should restore it for future generations". I get it, this build isn't what...
