Well the fan isn't engaging so I disconnected the air line going from the shutter stat to the fan clutch and hit it air from my compressor, she started spinning immediately....sweet.
So I bled down the air system and proceeded to tear down the shutter stat. I didn't have a spanner wrench but...
So I noticed that the engine (8.3 Cummins) or air pump, not sure which, gets really loud like out of adjustment lifters as the air pump reaches max pressure and the relief valve opens. Gets nice and quiet for a few minutes then starts to rattle again, maybe a minute before the pressure relief...
So after two months of research and watching auctions I finally started bidding on trucks that I thought I might be able to buy in my budget. The truck I won was actually the 3rd truck that I bid on and I have no idea why I got the deal I did. The only issues the truck had listed was inoperable...
Ok I've used the search bar but I'm coming up with nothing...a couple of weeks ago someone posted a list of tools, parts etc. that you should take when doing a recovery. Can someone point me in the right direction.
