I was contacted by Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort to show my M37 July 1-4.
The event coordinator said my vehicle fit the bill for the new movie coming out next year.
Nice to have the old girl become a star of the ballroom in the resort.
I installed a new sending unit a year or two back. These do not seem to be the most robust of devices. Gave up the ghost, gauge is fine, sending unit resistor wiper dead. Anyone found a more robust sending unit for these M37 trucks?
After lots of $$ and time/effort, the '63 M37 was entered into its first parade. Used lots of EL wire (electroluminescent).
This is the 18th year for the parade and gets bigger each year. Apache Junction closes off the Apache Trail for this parade.
Someone I am sure has come across this malady. I have a 1963 M37 with a fresh stock 230 cubic inch flat head strait 6 that I have just installed into the engine bay. The correct transmission for this vehicle has been acquired. As I try to install the transmission, the stick shift will contact...
These came on a T245A flat head 230 that I purchased a while back.
Does anyone have any information on these parts? I called John from MWM, he said that they were not used on the military engine and may be for a Civi 230.
Was there two different tranny floor boards for the M37? I know that there was a 420 model 4 speed with no synchros on gears 3-4 1950-1955. A 420 transmission with synchros in gears 3-4 circa 1955-1964. The 420 transmission with the synchros is slightly longer.
Can anyone provide some pics of the curved metal pieces that run from the front windshield to the rear bar over the doors on the M37? I need both left and right pieces for my canvas top to fit/attached properly. These are available online (used). I have a hard time coughing up $200 with shipping...
Guys,
I purchased a 1963 M37 8 weeks back. Once I got the engine running, I was concerned about the temp gauge. The SW gauge starts out reading 140*F when cold, and goes up to about 185*F when running. This is with ambient temps in the 80's. Gauge should read below 100*F when cold.
Found...
I have a 1963 M37 that I purchased two months back. I also have manuals TM9-8030 and TM9-1840A, engine and clutch.
The vehicle had the standard lighting 3 position switch replaced with a pull type for the lights. Many of the wires are cut under the dash.
I have installed a new gas tank with a...
I purchased this M37 about 10 days back. It sat for 6-7 years without running. The engine oil was drained at that time. I pulled the oil pan to inspect the lower end of the engine. The oil pan was relatively clean, not having much sludge. I dropped a conrod to inspect the bearing/crank...
