Well I went and taped the 819 cable, man do I like running this truck,
1--with full boom, max. boom hoist and just before 2 block, there is 24' to the ground from the hook, with the hook all the way down it is about 6" above the ground, this is with a empty drum (no wraps on drum), and a 3 part...
I will tape the drum tomorrow, also will tape a m62 drum as well. My drum only has a single layer, I will also check the clearance.
I have 26' of boom, I will tape the fall from boom tip to ground with full boom, full boom up.
Yes, I can touch the ground plus about a foot or so when I am fully extended, all the way boomed up, and rigged for 3 part..
The m819 has 1 layer, more then one layer may cause reeving problems if you were not careful, it could be done, just have to watch it, the ONLY size cable you can use...
This could lead to a fuel siphon issue, the ip is a DRAW pump with NO check valves, a high tank could allow fuel to flow on it's own (siphon) when the engine is shut down, ask WM about about his former 816 and paint thinner
Be careful using chain/cable supported steps or you WILL learn why they have the NICKNAME "shin knocker" , there are a few others names like @#$%^%$^&&^ step, ect.
Don't see why not, more of the rear of the boom needing some place to go, a rebuild of the boom lift mounts will be needed to reflect the different load because of the different load angle,(as the boom angle get higher, the loading on the boom hoist mounts get higher not because of weight but...
WILL no work, there WILL be no control of the block, as soon as a load os applied to the block it Will want to pull into the back of the truck, try to raise the block you will be forced to pull the load away from the truck, as you raise the boom, things will get worse, once above the deck, as...
Try loading stuff on a 819, I use a come-a-long
Think a spare tire is bad, try mounting it on a Austern Western crane
The crane can CAN ROTATE 360 deg. continuous, just by removing the stop on all the wreckers up to and including the m936.
When you look at a really big or blown up pic, al well guess this means I was wrong, the good thing it is not my first (X remembers those) nor will it be the last, besides if I NEVER made mistakes, a religion would be named after me ( not to bad a deal) then I would get my self killed (not a...
Just a thought, the m62 has 4 below deck compartments, just maybe when the 543 layout was written out, NO ONE thought to LOOK at a 543, they just assumed that there was 4 compartments like the m62.
This is no different then the 936 rear winch derating because everybody ASSUMED that everybody...
