Now your just showing off with those working windshield wipers! Looks like they put some nice bright LEDS on your front upper lights and signals. Very nice SEE for sure. Hoses look great too. Never seen a gun mount on one either. That thing looks ready to work or play!

I feel your tallness pain! I am 6'5" and have the same issues. I ended up taking out the puffy/padded headliner on my SEE. It helps a lot. Just a tin roof now!

Yep, that is a very nice looking SEE! You are way ahead of the game with those Pirelli tires compared to the original Michelins which always look to me like balloons getting ready to pop. That ripper bucket is scary cool! Wish I had one on my SEE. Seems like a great machine that should handle...

Congrats on your new acquisition. From that pic it looks like you have a really nice condition SEE!-exterior at least! Tires look like something other than the standard MichelinXs. Good luck with it.

Man, that is scary what those little jerks can do even in a short amount of time! Its a big enough challenge to keep these vehicles going as intended without wire eating going on. Good luck on the repairs. Would be interesting to hear from someone who has tried the new harnesses EI has...

Wow, HRBERGERON. You should get the extra effort award for swapping out every hydraulic hose! I have replace the four worst ones on mine and felt like I really did something! Now if I could just get mine back together after tilting the cab to replace slave cylinder. If I was smart I would do my...

The Continental MPT81s I showed above came from colonytire.com they have a mil surplus division in VA. They were very good to work with and shipping was fast and fairly reasonable. I believe they also had the Pirellis mentioned above by peakbagger. It may be there ebay store, I am not sure.

I recently put Continental MPT 81s on my SEE. They are equivalent to the 14.5 size so bigger than the 12.5 Michelins and there is a little rub on the fenders at max turns, but so much better in terms of ride stability and a bit lower rpms for any given speed. They seem much more suitable to the...

Far from an expert on this topic, but I am in the midst of a slave cylinder replacement on my SEE. It seems to me if you unbolted the slave cylinder during your recent work that you likely did not reset the proper gap between the slave cylinder piston and the clutch lever. There is an adjustment...

Welcome to the forum. I am sure the SEE would be a great addition to your farm. I can't add too much from the good advice above. If the SEE you are interested in has been thoroughly gone over and maintained by its current owner you might be okay to attempt to drive it long distance if you can...

Got the cab tilted on my SEE, not tilted to the max, but enough to get to the transmission/clutch area. Was quite a production, but the brackets from EI work great. The only snag I ran into was not putting spacers on the rear cab mount points. I spent a frustrating hour or so trying to get the...

That's great info on the throttle ball clips. I can see how easy they might launch off into space! Will be checking to make sure they are all installed when I get my cab lifted.

Thanks for the replies and warnings! I do try to keep safety in mind around these machines. When I became a cadet at the Citadel years ago there was story going around that a faculty member had been killed recently under his BMW Bavaria while he was working on it when some improvised jack...

I mentioned above I lost the clutch on my SEE as I was trying to stop before dropping a load of wood in my fire pit. Well I confirmed the slave cylinder is kaput and leaking profusely. I understand the slave cylinder can be changed out without tipping the cab, but I have decided to tip the cab...

Thanks! I have a long to do list on this SEE, but I am happy to be back in the game! I wanted to get over to the Charlotte area to check out the DOKA crane truck and maybe make an offer, but I waited too long!

I also meant to mention that I took the FOPS roof off of mine because I like the look better and saving some weight and maybe lower center of gravity. If anyone wants one they are welcome to come pick it up.

Thought I would say Hi to the forum. Back in 2013 I bought a SEE from govtliq. and it was a near perfect example of the breed and it never needed anything other than fluids and filters changed. I worked it pretty hard and had a lot of fun with it too. In 2018 I sold it for a lot more than I paid...

Would love to see some pictures of your winch and other mods. I have similar plans for my SEE when the standard implements are off.
