What did you do to your trailer today.

Most of the tie downs were attached to the center tray so they came off. I did save them and their bolts of course. I can add some back if I feel the need. I plan to use use it for cargo mostly. If camping just as carry-all. Some folks do use the tray as a starter for a small bed, but not me...

Not M101, M116A2. I do have a stock M101 but not a radar support version (it’s in the classifieds) Here is a pic of the M116 Bulldogger

Removed the center tray from my radar support trailer. Stripped most of the tie downs as well. Once the rest of the mounting fittings come off the deck I’ll have a nice semi-flat bed with cubbies on each side. Bulldogger

I flipped the lunette on my M101 so it would fit my HMMWV pintle better. Soldier B was a big help too. Bulldogger

You've convinced me not to try! Didn't particularly need it anyway. Glad you caught me before I tried. BDGR

It could be a while before I muster the gumption to try to sew a cover, but I'll keep ya'll posted. Dump trailer? You mean mine? Howzat? Sure would have saved me time at the landfill... Seriously, I better download the TM. I didn't think I needed one for a trailer! Bulldogger

Took Ownership! Picked this up a couple of days ago from another SS member locally, 1962 M101A. He has sold off all his green toys as part of downsizing. Came with extra sides and gates, and a few other extras stuck in it he didn't feel like cleaning out. Hadn't moved in 4 years but was 100%...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Went through the right hand wheel bearings and brakes. It was suffering from water intrusion, and the grease packing looked like caramel fudge. After cleaning it all out I decided to open the left side again, since I did it at night and thought maybe I couldn't see the color of the grease as...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Got the left side wheel opened up to inspect the brake drum and wheel bearing. A return spring for the top of the rear shoe was broken. Ran to Advance Auto and bought a large truck spring hardware bag and modified one of the general purpose springs to fit. Peace of mind gained in an hour's...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Turned my M116A3 into a flatbed. Courtesy of a large shipping pallet a local business listed for free on Craigslist. Not pretty, but it will work and enable me to use it for the upcoming Graves Mountain Rally. It will be nice to not have to transfer belongings and supplies between the tent...
