    A properly maintained gen set will never have water that far into the fuel system.

    my thoughts also. Normally can never happen, with all the filtering. Although, if someone had lines off, and crap got into the lines, PAST the filters, could happen.

    A work around to going in and taking this all apart, and it works sometimes, and sometimes not, is to drain the oil and fill the crankcase up with ATF. Run the set 15-30 min, no load. Drain ATF and change oil. At least twice, if not three times. This was SOP for units coming back from Down...

    Welllllllllllllllllllll, maybe we need to go back to the fuel cut off solenoid. As of yet, and I have read this thread 4 times now, this has not been checked, or has not been mentioned that it was checked.

    Both the Main and AUX old style pumps look the same. They are not quite 100% the same, but very close. Are you having a problem?

    No. Primary pump. Have you downloaded the TM's and maybe read the -10 operators manual?

    Keep in mind, there is no "check valve", per say in the set. The electric fuel pump itself is designed to stop fuel from draining back in the system. Mostly, it works just fine. That may be an area to look at. Like Ray, I think, and always did myself, turn the set to prime. and let it run a...
