If they trend at 250, and you spent 175... pass it forward and resell and get what you want.

Man... get a refund at that price. Go look up the NOCO unit I posed in another thread. Will power (2) 12V batteries simultaneously, and was $99 shipped via Amazon.

I've heard nothing but problems with those pulstech units. I have only ever had 1 machine come in with one though... so I my first hand knowledge is very limited with them. If they work for you, great.

I would use a fan powered damper then to run while the genset is running (you could even power it off the convenience outlet of the generator), but with mesh to keep all bugs out. The best thing you can do, even if you put this in a structure, is to rodent proof the set. Rodents have all the...

Yeah, unless its sucking huge amounts of oil... let it rip.

I would also invest in one of these... replaces your hertz and voltage gauges if they die under use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RGF29Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Just run a small extension cord from the convenience outlets to this, and it will give you an...

Skys the limit... wait, the wallets the limit. A rough idea of items I would consider having on the shelf (this is by no means a comprehensive list): Oil and filters Fuel treatment (summer and winter mix for lubricity and antigel, biocide, and stabilizers) Coolant Extra radiator cap Radiator...

Only you can decide how prepared you want to be. "Two is one, and one is none" is a pretty good concept when you are in the thick of it during a power outage. Redundancy can make any scenario better if you are prepared. Only you can determine how long you need the machine to be operational...

You might get away with under $100 for all filters, fluids, quad fuse, mov, etc. These machines are pretty great. So long as you don't need new batteries (or count your time as $), you might be surprised :)

I missed the mention of the reset, my bad.

I think the castle nut on these takes a 1.5" socket if memory serves. That looks much larger.

The braided copper line is whats normally in the pocket door, opposite the lugs, for use in grounding. Used on trailer sets and for regular genset only. The rest looks like an accumulation of crap... wouldn't worry too much about most of that. Some might be useful, but it mainly looks like a...

If you are intending on doing a flush, I believe I have previously read here a post from Guyfang about running ATF in the machine instead of oil for a certain amount of hours. Really helps strip out any built up gunk, then flush, and replace with standard oil. Maybe he will wander by to correct me.
