Yup, I'm aware of that. My bellhousing would not be cracked had the idiot that assembled it used locktight. With that said, I don't mind used, the budget can't take AA products right now
Bumpy ride today. A great number of years ago I swapped an SM465 into my SECM. Almost 2 years ago I thought I broke the trans. I was finally digging into it today and found that I broke the center hub out of the clutch disc. I was taking the bellhousing off and found 2 of the 6 bolts missing...
Well, I finally did something. Removed the rear driveshaft and skidplate on my SECM clone M1008. Drained the transfer case and made a little mess then found I didn't have any absorbent. Need to go fetch some. Finally going to remove the broken SM465 and put the NV4500 in.
My SECM has the Dodge M887 body. The heavy wisconsin genset was discarded long ago. Since it was engine driven, the box has an exhaust stack and ventilation from the bottom and top. Now there is a steel workbench on slides that comes out but at some point I'll like to put a Bobcat or...
I'm not quite sure. It wasn't catastrophic at all. Just lost the ability to move. It had been having trouble staying in a few gears anyway. I suppose it could be a transfer case too but it's fresh. Either way I have an NV4500 and Dodge 208 in the garage. I'll be working towards installing them...
