What did you do to your deuce this week?

This week, Project "Corporal Punishment" got a new modern 24V 70 amp alternator, a freshly retubed/stretched rear drive shaft, and a new pair of batteries. It's been a good week for The Corporal!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I used a good hefty punch (9" long and 1" thick hex-steel) and a BFH. Worked for me and I got an awesome workout! lol

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Got a bunch of solar-powered yard lights from a neighbor who felt it was time for a couple new sets outside her house. I promptly stripped them of thier solar panels, broke out my Volt/Ohm Meter, soldering iron, solder, lead wire and double-stick tape. After checking each of the panels in direct...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

A few days ago, I was planning to post a few pics of the latest progress on Project "Corporal Punishment" along with shots of the freshly buffed off tires and when I fired up the truck, NO AIR! When I got into tracking the problem, (process of elimination) I concluded the problem had to be...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Door Fix Detail Reply TAKE TWO. Step 1. Remove the cotter pin that holds the limiter rod through the door and slide the limiter rod back in to the door jamb leaving about 1 inch outside the jamb. Step 2. Open the kick vent and reach into the top of the vent opening from the outside of the cab...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

After countless times opening up my door to get something outta the cab and having the wind slam the door window into the mirrors, I finally corrected that problem. Using a hole punch (cheap one for paper) I punched several holes in the middle of the diamond pattern in a remnant of the material...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

In keeping with my "on the cheap" motif, I utilized the brake reservior from the M105 I butchered when I bobbed my truck. I mounted it inside the driver's seat box, connected a 1/2" clear hose from it to the vent in the truck's reservior cap for added fluid capacity. I also added a male air...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I scored a couple pieces of diamond plate pattern rubber mat. I trimmed them to fit the floor wells on both sides of the cab of my bobbed deuce. They look super cool, and from what I can tell, they manage to dampen engine noise a little bit too. Gotta love that! :driver:

What did you do to your deuce this week?

OK, it was last week, but my computer was down for almost a year and just got fixed. I trimmed some boards for uprights for the M105 bed on my bobbed deuce. I improvised some side boards to toss a Harbor Freight camo plastic tarp over and tie down to protect all our stuff for the big move too...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I left the oil on for a few days to see how much good it would do for the aged, weathered and heavily oxidized paint. Yesterday upon closer inspection, I saw the fine dusting of wind-bourne dust that collected on the hood, so I got a soapy rag, hosed and washed the hood, side engine covers and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

After straining some WMO into my tank, I used an oily rag to wipe down the severely oxidized paint and WOW! What a difference! I decided to try the same trick on my ancient dry tires. Wiped on just enough oil to give a moist shiny coat and about 15 minutes later, they were dry again. 5 wiped-on...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

That explains a lot AceHigh, Thanks. The previous owner used nothing but pump diesel in the truck. Can algae grow in WMO too?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

A few days ago I got curious so I cut a clear soda bottle in half, turned on the master power and cracked open the draincocks on my fuel filters. Barely a trickle. OH NO! Yesterday I dropped the fuel filter cups, poured what was in them in a gas can and took out the cartriges. The primary cup...

You've got several options for parts for your deuce: C&C Equipment, Boyce Equipment Axles and Military Parts, and of course Military vehicles for sale, surplus military vehicles for sale to name a few.[thumbzup]

She looks great! Nice job on the paint! I can't wait to see what she looks like as a VN-era gun truck!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I finally got all the rusty old screws busted loose and got out the latch on the passenger door to find out why it wouldn't open from the outside. Turns out, some nitwit thought he could get into the cab by forcing the handle with the door locked from the inside, and blew apart part of the latch...
