What have you done to your MKT this week???

You almost have enough room to add a FST (Field Sanitary Trailer body) to the front. IE three sinks, a drain rack and some wire shelving to serve as drying racks. Run the plumbing down to a grease separator with the output through the floor and use a union joint to attach a 50 foot drain hose...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Chris, next time you are cooking for the kids, try the chili-mac. Cook up the macaroni 6 lb in each of the 10 gallon pots, drain through the collander into a 15 gallon pot and put the drained mac into two square head pans (see post 212, pic #4), add two #10 cans of Chili-no-beans, and 64 oz of...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

It will pass, but will we be around to see it? That's the real question!

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Now you need to get some bacon presses and a hashbrown steamer lid or two, and maybe some egg rings for making egg biscuits. For biscuits I cheat and use the WalMart "Great Value" Buttermilk jumbo biscuits (not the 'flaky' variety), 20 will fit nicely on a baking sheet. I start 'proofing' them...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Rubber cord is the same stuff used to keep the deuce cargo covers on with. Most of the dealers have it. Rubber Rope.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

It is possible because that way the soldiers coming through the chow line would not have to make their way through a screen wall to get onto the MKT. Two of the intermediate screens would be a better choice IMHO, but putting one on in reverse (shifted) might not work as well as just using the...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Noticed that the second MBU in the video is a 100, not a 103. Heat range on it will be a bit narrower, esp on the low end (20K BTU/hr vs 11K BTU/hr for the newer one) so it may need to be set lower to keep an even heat on the griddle. Noted that you have the new griddle (MKT-99 upgrade).

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Oh, and don't let the burners run too long without close supervision. I have two 15 gallon pots that have been patched (before i got them) because the burner was fired up and the pot was empty, and melted a hole in the bottom. Griddles can get warped also from too much heat. Using the...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

At one time there were six in private hands in Columbia, SC. Dave, Mitch, Adam, me, MVCSC, and Chris who moved to New Mexico. I've sent out about two dozen of the MKT USB drives. Two fellas in Quebec had three between them. Timntrucks had two, Wreckerman swapped his to popabear and I think...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Griddles were made to be flipped over so both sides can be used. I notice if I don't flip mine on a regular basis they will start to warp up in the middle. End to end warping is probably caused by only running one burner, not both at about the same heat range.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Actually the GI ones are NOT GastroNorm half sheets, more like 2/3.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

I agree, even full of fuel, I can carry two of them about a hundred yards or so. They start getting to me between 50 and 100 yards, but I can make it.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

And I moved mine onto the truck at OKC and then off once I got home by myself! But I did empty it out first, and it did not have the smokestacks.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Dave, As you said, they are larger than an M-59. And they have a special piece of shielding on the bottom to get the heat spread out that is NOT cheap! Be very careful when lifting it onto the cradle so you don't mess that piece up. Two replacement pieces cost me $125 plus shipping. The...

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Oven with the four shelves was part of the KCLFF when the MKT was new. Lots easier to do baking with it. I have one, but not mounted in the MKT.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Peek window only tells me if the pot is boiling over. I can't even see the aux baking shelf when it's open. When one of my M59's lost the window channel, I just pop riveted a solid sheet over it. No loss of functionality for me.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Page 9 of the document you posted the reference to says they fit in exactly the same space. If the price is right, replace with the newest ones!

What have you done to your MKT this week???

For proper running you need at least 25 volts, with the inverter hooked into 110 AC you should get close to 28 volts, even with all six burners going.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Be sure to follow the TM when starting the burners. Procedure is: 1. Turn knob counter clock wise to the 7 o'clock position. 2. Press "Power" and let it go through the startup routine. 3. Press and HOLD the "Start" button for up to 30 seconds (or less if the flame is going well). 4. If it...
