    Replaced by the PRC-77, which uses the same battery. Main difference between the two radios is the final RF output uses tubes in the -25, and transistors in the -77. PRC - Personal (man carry) Radio Communication, VRC - vehicular radio communication, ARC - aircraft radio communication, etc.
