What did you do to your deuce this week?

Wait, could the fix to my bouncing Speedo really be this simple? How much would you say you put in there?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I drove mine about an hour and a half to my brothers house. He lives on a steep slope (navigable, with effort) and he felled a bunch of 40'+ digger pines. His house and the road are at the TOP of the slope, the trees naturally fell downhill. His neighbor very loudly wondered "what is that idiot...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Scored a SMOKIN deal on a brand new set of 385's from a guy moving his shop out of state. He didn't want to have to move the tires and wheels so he let them go stupid cheap. Finally finished painting the adapter plates and getting everything assembled and mounted up. Before and after pics. I...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Completely agree. Unfortunately though the California vehicle code classifies any truck as a commercial vehicle. The size or intended purpose is completely irrelevant. I duked it out with the DMV over this and the onery lady pulled out the code book and I read it. All trucks are defined as...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Is there a thread for this somewhere? I only live an hour or so from Lodi, but somehow I miss this meet-up every year :(

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thats very different from what the DMV told me :(. When I spoke with them I was told that anything (unless designated RV - which requires very specific attributes) with 3+ axles requires at least a Class B commercial license - regardless of brake type or weight. Its one of the reasons I bobbed...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I have that exact same dent in my bobbed deuce, from doing that exact same thing. My 'solution' plans have ranged from driving over it to welding a chain to it and pulling it out. Interested to hear the route you end up going with. Conversely, if anyone in NorCal is selling an M105 tailgate...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I drove mine for the first time in probably six months. I'm not great about getting it out routinely. I had to drive ~1hr to pick up some slate purchased off Craigslist on the cheap. Seems like every time I start to think seriously about selling it because it doesn't get enough use, its not...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Congrat's! That's a solid achievement and must feel great.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Started the re-furb of the new-to-me hardtop for my deuce. When I purchased the deuce it was a soft-top. Like all soft-tops the front stitching quickly let go. I repaired that with the siding j-channel trick and it worked like a charm. Fast-forward several years and I have long weather-tears in...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Got my heater core back from the radiator shop. They boiled it, cleaned it up and pressure tested it. In their words "Its in remarkably great shape for its age."

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Made some progress on the in-cab heater install. Finished painting the blower and core enclosure, and figured out the mounting of that part. Got the air line moved since it was going to be blocked. Still need to suss out the diverter mounting, and get that sanded and painted. Baby steps.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Good looking truck, thanks for posting the vid's. I've never used the blackout lights, are they just IR, i.e. would I need IR goggles or a camera to see the 'light'? Also I noticed in your vid's that you're making constant, small corrections with the steering wheel. I have to do that with mine...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finished trouble-shooting a no/slow start issue. Ended up replacing a 6mos old battery. Managed to get both my deuce batteries (group 31) and my civvy 12v battery into the battery box. Then I took my 7yo for a ride. He loves the truck.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Had a bit of an issue this weekend. I installed the Ross HF54 a couple of years ago and was surprised to see how darty it got after the mod. I installed 4* shims and that helped, but it was still too darty to be comfortable. I got a used set of spring perches a few months ago and drilled them...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

    I like the out-of-the-box thinking!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Started the R&R on my new-to-me heater for the truck. After battling some very light rust I got the heater box disassembled, next step is to sand and paint. The core looks good and seems to hold pressure, although I had to blow a BUNCH of fine shredded material out of it, looked like some wee...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

X2, I have all the parts for this sitting on a shelf, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I'd love to see how yours worked out!
