You are absolutely correct. Shame on those who played with you. This is NOT your fault. Enjoy driving with this nice, clean and perfect M1009.

Maybe a bad cable (cable break) or a loose contact? If it works time by time the mind of it‘s own could just be a loose connection.

Thank you for this great picture, Rick. Showing three strong fighters and a perfectly fitting german Bundeswehr Regenjacke :)

These old steel fuel cans are a nice accessory on your current build and on Little Red :)

Little red has all the potential of a real survivor. I think we should honor and appreciate that. And you absolutely got the skills to bring Little red back to life as a survivor. Challenge accepted? ;-) You can count on me and my support. Thank you. Be safe and stay healthy.

Oh well, not an easy decision, Rick. Maybe you should rebuild this M1009 as a real survivor and safe its value because of its good condition and take another M1009 which is a little bit beyond repair and change it to a full convertible. This dirty and time consuming work is all worth it. There are still some hidden treasures waiting to be found. The time you spend now you will not have to spend later by searching for parts you need to finish a job. Happy new year. Take care.

Maybe there is a way to NOT repaint Little Red completely and to keep most of the original CARC paint as it is now. Your decision, Rick. I am happy with both oppurtunities: repaint vs. keeping the paint mainly as it is now. Take care.
