I have a M211 heater kit but it’s missing the angled scoop thing that bolts onto the hood. Can you take measurements of one so I can create one?

To me it smells like moth balls with some oil added. Looks like rust soup in that one bearing. Yuck! What kind of lining is in that tank? I have never seen red before.

You are right. I have a few Jeeps too. But when I started with the M211s I figured I would not even get back what I invested. There are still parts out there but other than us folk there is not much love for them.

I want to know where the stash of NOS transmissions are.

Those crate engines are normally all sealed up and preserved. What's required to get one up and running?

I found a kit from them on e-pay. This looks just like the kit I bought. It does not have the oil pump parts or the bands. Search Hydramatic Automatic Transmission Rebuilding Kit

When I talked to the guys at Fatsco they sounded like the knew all about the parts for these transmissions. Not shifting to 2nd sounds like weak oil pump or an obstruction. There is a debug section in that PS Mag in the stickies about these transmissions.

The cheepo brands are not necessarily bad and they might work fine. If I had not stumbled on that old can of HI oil I might have gotten it. Alan

I can measure my 2.5 Airpacks but the 5 ton has a longer tube where the brake fluid is and I think a longer air cylinder. But the diameters are the same so the 5 ton kit can be used. I think the 5 ton air switch is larger.
