Now you're going to have to buy Wes some longer mudflaps...

You can put a bend in the flat part of the military wiper arm if you want more tension. I run the stock blades and arms and this made all the difference with how well they worked.

Finally found a transmission cooler like I wanted. I've wanted to add one for a while but finding one the right size, with the right flow requirements and equipped with a fan has been difficult. This is actually a cooler for a hydraulic system but it works perfect for this as well. The cooler...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Let me dig through a pile and see if I still have one. I had a complete kit but don't remember if I tossed it or not.

Post #6757 in this thread has pictures of my seal replacement. You'll need a seal, wear ring and keyway seal. It's not a bad job. I had a lot of other stuff going on as well in the pictures. The puller I used was just as harmonic balancer puller modified slightly to use 7/16" bolts. Cost about...

What ever happened to your attempt at electrifying your truck? I remember the way you did it was completely legal but I don't remember the details, although the memory part could be deliberate.

M939 spring brake chamber. There is a lot of information under all the CARC. Notice the model number. They use #12 and #16 diaphragms. This is a Rockwell service brake diaphragm out of a chamber I pulled from a spare axle. It's a #12 diaphragm.

The truck in your avatar has a battery relocation box for the passenger side. The batteries would normally be relocated there when the box and the rest of relocation kit is installed. Your new truck has the standard box configuration for batteries under the seat as it was originally issued.

I brought it and left it at the AL building so they could decorate it. There were supposed to be more people but the cold thinned the crowd. It was going to be a pain to navigate the staging area anyways. It was 31° when we started rolling and 27° by the time we were at the end.

The local Christmas Parade. I had the American Legion with me again. Last year I had a ladder for them to get in the bed, which presented a problem for some of them. I picked up a 7 step boarding ladder at the rally this year, which was a very appreciated upgrade by all.

Sounds like he fit right in. Maybe he'll leave his new banjo in the truck when he stops by to pick up his care package.

Took the little Frontier to the dealership for the 6th time. It has an ongoing brake issue that has yet to be repaired. I've been reasonable up to this point but have become aggrevated and changed tactics this go round. I told them it was unsafe to drive and that they were picking up the tow...

The sasquatch was having enough technical difficulties with the simple GoPro. He wasn't about to put a thousand dollar drone in the air over dense woods and kudzu. My luck has not been great recently. I'm trying not to make it worse.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

First load of firewood for the winter. I always find too much enjoyment driving through my brother-in-law's food plot... The camera location doesn't do the grade of the trail any justice. It's steep and a natural spring keeps the bottom of it slick and muddy. The really steep part didn't get...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I just take a spray bottle with Dawn dishsoap/water mixed and thoroughly saturate the inside and outside of the filter media. Let it sit for about 15 minutes. I then put a thick washcloth over the end of the water hose and spray the filter out from the inside. The washcloth allows for full flow...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I've been holding out on pictures for a while. Here's about 2 months worth... After a lot of searching I couldn't find the grease fittings I wanted for the jack shaft. So I made my own. These will eliminate having to do tricks and use special adapters to grease the A0/A1 jack shafts. I took a...

The oil is normal as long as it's not excessive. All oil lubed compressors pass some oil over time. The oil is actually the main cause for the shortened life span of the dessicant. Desiccant will actually last much longer without the oil. The oil coats the dessicant over time, which doesn't...
