Using my SEE for real work

Yeah, you'll find photos in the long thread. It was probably about four years ago, and they where a bit spread out as I recall since it involved both the quick tach and putting a plate on the bucket. I'm overdue for a re-read but won't get to it for a while.

Now you know why I converted. And to hook up the snow blower wasn't the only reason for the quick tach.

Guess I shouldn't be concerned with the flow restrictions of the 20' extension hoses I made, or the extra quick disconnects, if 3/8" is enough.

Well, there's your problem. That pre-existing concrete is much harder to work with than regular existing concrete. Best, of course, is concrete that doesn't exist. That you can easily drill with almost anything.

If you can beg, steal, or borrow, a dump trailer you'd save a fair amount of time, I think. Even if your dumping spot is only 50 feet away. You may want to hold off on resealing cylinders for a while. Several times now I've had one leak, which of course irritated me, but not enough to fix it...

Primarily when you were using the loader to scoop up dirt. I'm paranoid about having to replace a clutch, so I don't dare to use it more than absolutely necessary.

How does your clutch feel after that escapade? I could almost smell it while watching the video.

Again, there's no need for high rpms or fast movements when latching the backhoe. It can be done very smoothly. Practice makes (more) perfect. And yes, having the backhoe farther back obviously helps balance the SEE front to rear, but I prefer to keep it on all four wheels. Actually, I'm...

I dunno. To me the SEE is plenty top heavy as it is, and leaving the backhoe up doesn't exactly help with stability. And why do you find it hard to latch? I can do it almost completely silently these days. But then, I also run low rpms.

Potted plants and an umbrella?!? What's next...fingerless driving gloves?

Hmm. Never even considered doing that. I've been buying the filters for about $35, with the housing, so it never dawned on my to try cleaning them. Now I know what to do with the old ones.

That looks like fun, peakbagger. Well, the part where you used the backhoe. The rest makes me appreciate my trailers that much more.

Love your door decal! I would like to have one on every vehicle I own...except many would say that then I couldn't drive them.

If you prefer number 4, it sounds like you'd fit in fine around here. Plus property is cheap. Heck, even the local corrections department has a SEE.

You mean like this? Except it took more than a regular tractor - my friend was spinning all six tires on his 30,000-lb. rescue machine.

Aside from using the backhoe as a counterbalance/to extract yourself, as others have mentioned, even as wimpy as the loader is on the Winter SEE it can help push backwards in situations like that. Heck, supposedly Big Bison was in a much worse predicament than that and successfully deployed the...

There are at least 12 more out there...somewhere.

Hey, I'd like to see that thing in action myself, but I'm not about to try walking backwards in front of a driverless snow blower. Even if I had a video camera.

We also got some snow to play with this winter, so the SEEs got to work.

Still sounds (no pun intended) like fun.
