That looks good. I bet performs much better too. I left the pneumatic wipers on mine but replaced the wiper arms with ANCO and ANCO wiper blades, so much better than the stock version. Only con, need to turn the air way up to get speed on the wipers as the new arms and blades have a lot more...
Added a dummy grenade on the shifter. I made what I have work, but I used a welding rod and the deuce batteries to weld a nut that for the shifters size and thread pitch to the bottom of the grenade. I added another nut as a jam nut so the grenade was in a comfortable position. Painted it with...
Reminds me of something I'd expect to see in "Dawn of the Dead" or "Mad Max" lol. If you have a chance, can you show some more pictures of that bumper, especially the front and up close?
The flapper I bought is Ohio Diesel Parts, found it on Amazon, $27 I can't complain.
3-1/2 Inch Tractor Exhaust Silencer Weather Flap Rain Cap Muffler Cover 3.5" - Black https://a.co/d/5ZlLFZz
Agreed, most I saw were far from cheap unlike ten twelve years ago, could buy those for half the price all day. The flapper is fricken awesome too, I really like it. When idling, I just tap the throttle and I can make it go tap tap tap tap for a few moments before it levels back off, lol.
I had to fix my J pipe due to rotting in the trap and I cut off the top of the stack and installed a rain cap or flapper as I like to call it. About a 6 hr job but it's all newly painted, new hardware, and looks good imo. The only troubles I had was removing the J pipe, normally it just slides...
I agree with Cattlerepairman, that's a good way to clean the system. I've always used 50/50 prediluted coolant (green) and no issues. Fortunately, the deuces don't seem to be finicky with the coolant concentration like some modern cars can be. From what I understand, it's a good idea to do a...
Those Marine batteries deep cycle? I'm unaware of marine battery performance, but from using group 65's that were 850CCA each, once it got below 40° consistently, lacked in power to start the deuce unless warmed by artificial heat. I was able to get group 31 batteries from TSC for $105 ea on...
I finally broke down and bought two group 31's from TSC. Found them for $105/ea and that was the best deal I could find. Those group 65 batteries just couldn't do it and the cold would make them work so hard, the truck killed them way too quick and not be able to turn the engine over fast enough...
Depending on what kind of stencils you can make, if it can do more than just letters and numbers, could produce some camo patterns for small projects like ammo cans, firearms, ect. Good money in some of that stuff. I got 6 sheets for my 50 cal and probably could have used 7 or 8, but yeah, any...
I gotta change the oil in mine, but I finished winterizing my deuce. If it's gonna be as bad as they are saying, I wanna be ready, lol. I got my battery warmers installed and I installed my oil pan warmer today. I could've done better with the silicone but I was kinda in a hurry.
I need to add one of these too, especially if the wife and I decide to get a camper next year, most campers will be too big and heavy for my Dakota, at least the ones we've been thinking about, which is the non foldable 12-14' campers.
Finally got around to installing my off road lights. I've had them on hand for over a year as I planned to install them on my pickup truck (except for my military lights which I had to modify since these were a spot light). The deuce just seemed to be the better candidate. I only needed wire...
