Most of the pine trees were Ponderosas. We also had Sugar Pines. Their cones are 12 to 15 inches long.

It was in the low 50's at night. We also had a lot of wildlife: ravens, blue jays, deer, woodpeckers and a close and loud bunch of coyotes at 5:00 AM. I also saw a rattlesnake in the road on my way out.

It was only about 80 F during the day. We were at almost 7000 feet.

There has been an inch of rain up there in the last two days. There will be some puddles (mud holes?) on the road in from Fawnskin.
