DieselAddict, Seems like you really know your stuff. But I guess my thoughts on this are if they are already running and have reached the desired temp then it would freeze as quickly as any other mechanism as long as the temperatures are the same. since rusty will be keeping his running 24/7...

You should test the internal batteries. Looks like in freeze mode they last 8 hours. If they charge during day might be sufficient for night and after the battery runs out the temp loss difference is 5 degrees after 4 more hours I think. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
