The cab on a 809 series 5ton is the same as a deuce. The newer 900's have a different cab.
I used the cab off of a 813 for the donor cab on my crew cab.
Busy week since the XM818 is still DOA. Got the oil changed. Filters changed, both oil and fuel. Installed a cb that is currently a cranky piece of crap, but the 8' whip looks cool. Got the 395 spare in the spare rack. Other odds & ins done. Then took a 600 mile drive in said deuce. 14 hours...
Since the deuce has become my daily driver, & I've finally gotten the 12volt set up working right. I added a radio. Now I can listen to the news on the way to work. About 30 minutes each way.
More like in the last 3 weeks than just this week.
Replaced the axel boots, & regreased the front end.
Completely rebuilt the 12volt system. Blasted fire department must have added a mile of extra wire.
Replaced the pyro. Again.
Bought new shoes, 395/85/r20.
Ordered MRAP wheels & adapter...
Scored some composite taillights dirt cheap. $20 bucks , bought a tow bar, got a pyro, burnt up the alternator and ordered another. The credit card hates me now.
