The only updates have is high speed gears have been installed. They put new pinion seals in when they did the install and the new ones started to leak. They came back and replaced the seals again. I have not driven it since. I will say the gears make a world of difference. I only back up traffic...
I got them from Big Mike's motor pool. They are easy to find if you search for "Packard connectors" I saw them on ebay and amazon as well as the electronic supplies places. You can also look them up with the MS number... I used 14 gauge connectors. Link below.
You have to cut the terminal...
Been replacing the Packard connectors... They are all cracked and rotted...
I also changed out the right rear tail light holder weldment. The one that can on the truck was one for a wench. It was driving me crazy. Not that it wasn't functional it just wasn't right and look off... I also...
I was installing the drive shaft. I wasn't too sure how tight to make the bolts and I stripped one. I sure hope it was the bolt and not the yoke. Man I am not a happy camper. I know why they military went to the bolts with the head that breaks off. I wish I could find those.
Well there is more than one way to do things but this is how I did it... The TM says that these are to be torqued to 359 to 446 Ft Lb... No wonder I had a problem... Will finish it up later this week... i hope
Going to call my truck the socket buster... and these fasteners are NOT rusted. I don't know if this is factory apes or military gorillas who tighten these fasteners... Fine thread to boot. I think its time to invest in a rattle gun... never needed one before... Just don't know if I want to go...
I need to find someway to loosen the upper sway bar bushing bolt. Man oh man I gave it all I had and it will not budge... I tried a cheater bar and no luck. Besides a bigger hammer any ideas how to bust these loose?
I Found the thread that had the information I was remembering. Lots and lots of info there.

I would like to get the stock unit working and would only do this as a last resort. I haven't spent much time on researching this yet. I would really like to see if we can get a way to fix the stock units.
I have not looked myself but I have been told these units are potted . If true these is nothing to repair component wise. Do you have the software to take to these units? If there is still a way to communicate to these units I am sure they can be fixed. I think there maybe a code set in them...
Did more detailed work like putting the heater back in, grill back on and replacing the Packard connectors. All of the rubber is rotten. Truck is running very well. Its also looking good!
Now on to the next issue. The CTIS box has the 5 solid as in not flashing lights. I know where was some...
I saw them,,, I do not like the shiny front. I was thinking about trying to make some myself. Maybe use something like this https://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Transparency-Printers-Sheets-CG7060/dp/B000QUZ8K6?th=1 and a frosted top sheet? I dont't know
Got the dash together and them started it... Been awhile since it ran...
I just need to figure out what I am going to do with the indicator lights. The glass is broken.
