Hi guys! My name is Serge and I newbie here! I live in Moscow (Russia) and in USA (Austin, TX). At last october 2012 I bought my dream - the 2000 Hummer H1 Hard Top in Glendale, AZ. Now I want to make factory slantback conversion from my Hard Top body.

Welcome aboard and I moved your pic here so it does not get lost on another site.

Privet! My wife is Russian, she's from Khatokovo outside of Moscow. Her parents were visiting with us for the past few months and they just returned to Russia. I've been to Russia once and thought it was beautiful!

Good luck with the slantback conversion. I assume you are looking for a complete slantback kit, right? They are around. The worst thing about them (I have owned both an M1045 and M1043) is that it is tough to keep the turret hatch from leaking...even when you replace the rubber seal. Also,

(continued...hit reply before I finished). Also, they have large blind spots when backing up. Even the newer style mirrors don't help much. I suggest adding a back-up camera.

Beautiful GAZ-66.

I never pursued a URAL seriously because, without inspecting, I was unsure what I was buying. If I fly over to inspect (I don't have any trips planned at this time), the cost starts to be an issue.

Gas 66 is much more interesting IMHO (truck in nice condition can be found for $ 6000-7000): first - cost is much lower than the URAL 4320, second - quite possible to find a truck from military preservation, third - no problem with spare parts, you can buy and get parts in Russia seated in your chair in USA!

Hi, Welcome to the site and the United States of America! Best Wishes to you! You can find a lot of info here on the site.

If I was to chose my favorite Russian military vehicle, it would be the Sukhoi Su-27.

I heard from a South Korean F-16 pilot that the older Russian planes fly by cables and can take off from grass fields, they are way tougher than American airframes albeit way less technically advanced, fly by wire operation.

Do you know of a Sukhoi Su-27 sitting in a warehouse somewhere..........

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am very pleased! In aviation, I'm not strong, I prefer wheelers! ))) As for a certain stock of the Su-27 is not heard of that! It is an old tale that Russia can change a military helicopter on the BMW! )))
