Sometimes newbies can't figure out how to start a new thread. This sometimes results in said newbie doing the wrong thing - jumping in on someone else's thread. This is called "hijacking" a thread, and it's a good way to start out wrong on a new forum. Please do not hijack! Learn to use the forum properly.

STEP 1: Search for other threads that deal with your problem. It's probably been covered already.

STEP 2: To start a new thread, go to the main page of the forum that is right for your topic. (Don't start a thread about doing a lift on a CUCV in a generator forum, for example. Don't know which is the right forum? Just read the titles. It's really not difficult to figure out the right place. If the title doesn't make it clear enough, read the other thread titles.)

STEP 3. Find the big orange button that says "Post New Thread". (See the red arrow in the attached photo. Click on the picture for a larger version.)

STEP 4. Click the button!

Wait, you are not done yet.

STEP 5. Now create a useful thread title.

Put some thoughtinto it, do not say something like, "Truck won't work", or, "Need help!" Definitely do NOT say, "Need help" unless you have a REAL emergency!!! That is a primary purpose of this forum, and every forum like it on the Internet. It's here so people can get help. If you are stranded by the side of the road or in some distant town and you really NEED HELP NOW! Then it's okay to say "Need help!". Then you really need help, and folks here are glad to give help.

Now, your thread title should describe your problem in a few words. "Transmission slipping after fluid change" or, "Won't shift until high RPM", or "Green smoke coming out of mirror when I turn on high beams". It should HELP people to help you, instead of making them do guesswork. A good title makes it easy for people to search on, later. It helps build the forum into a useful place to find information. Bad titles don't help.

And of course, you DID try searching for the problem before you posted a new thread, right?

If parts are needed, part numbers are needed, many ways to find them
here is one way , locate item by picture in TM, examle figure 40, item 17
then next page or two will have figure 40 list, find item 17 and then part number,
google it ,
