Anything off a early 80's GM 1ton will bolt right on with minor work around the front tow hooks . The truck is 12v except the starting system . Personally the belt driven plows I have used were slow to do anything ( lift , angle ect. )

Edit; If you do a search there have been several plow install threads.

I did the 12v conversion on my M1009 plow rig, I mounted the belt driven pump in place of the driver's side alternator. Also had to remove the brush guard for clearance for the head frame. If I would have had an electric unit I would not have done the 12v conversion, had the belt drive on hand so that's what I used.

I have a Haldex 12V pump mounted on the drivers side inner fender. Member Wayne Pick has the same set up on his. He is the one that lead me in that direction. It was pricy but I ordered it through Northern Tool. The pump works great and is plenty strong for my 8' speedcast setup. If the pump ever goes south I have started to stock pile the parts for a belt driven set up.
