It does flex a little but not bad for a spare tire. I will be however adding a 24x24 5/16" plate under the crane between the bed then some gussets underneath.

If the crane will stay in that position, run a brace from the bed's top rail to the crane mast. It will steady it up quite a bit.

Yeah Rob I plan on doing that as well. A nice triangular piece bolted into the side of the bed and then welded or clamped to the crane mast.
