Once its all figured out - we can fill those top radius end caps to make it a little more asthetic - instead of big suction ports.

Cool project. Do I understand correctly that the panel adhesive will bond glass to fiberglass? It looekd like you used the panel adhesive to fill in the voids made from the chop. Why didn't you use something cheaper like fiberglass resin?

The panel adhesive was used to glue in a part of the roof that we had cut out to make the lip thicker on the front edge. This was for mounting the snaps for the cover. There really was no voids in the top from the cut. The short top is going to be shaped some more once the roll cage is complete.

3m panel adhesive already comes out mixed - with fibrerglass crap you have to stir - mix - spread which is a mess - the 3m product is user friendly - just state of the art moving on forward to new technology kinda stuff. Holds with the grip of god and before the bond breaks the top will break first.

I have a fully protected Garage if it ever flips over - it is now equipped with its own personal roll cage - :naner:- product to shoot the cage is on order and yes Swissoroney took command quickly after seeing me working on a wood project. Took all my tools away that were metal tools and gave me a very stern look - from there I knew just to pay attention and follow his lead. If it were MV related I would show ya the project on hand that will take some time to complete but its C O O L.

I also got stern orders NOT to TOUCH anything till his return (huh).

CUCV.jpgNot a bikini top but this is what someone did to my truck before I bought it. They did a nice job but I plan on taking it off and putting the back seat back in it. I have no idea why they remounted the mirrors on the front fenders. I can't even see the passenger side mirror.
