This info should be put into an Excel file, and constantly up dated. Too many people reinvent the wheel every time someone new starts looking for parts. A list for every type of gen set by model.

The same with manuals. I have the newest Power generation CD, and asked a moderator if we could remove the manuals that are in the forums manual bank. Got no reply yet. I would replace the manuals by type and model. There are NEW manuals, along with changes to others.

Making a pretty good collection of supporting information for your MEP-8xx units

I would suggest that anyone which gets a MEP-802A or MEP-803A unit goes through and preps it for use. One thing to do is to run the unit with a good load. Remember, the convenience receptacles are 10 amp. The reset for that is right inside behind the front panel. A real load to work the generator will need to be hooked to the lugs.

The A-427 load bank is mans best friend. Just do not let anything restrict the air flow.

The MEP-802A DN2M-1 2 cylinder engine.
The MEP-803A DN4M-1 4 cylinder engine.

Almost everything is common between the two engines.
filters, pumps, gaskets, pistons, rings, starter, alternator, front panels, gauges, and other items.

Makes it easier to find parts with commonality.

I would suggest anyone with a MEP-8xx unit, also have a spare well nut around. Sooner or later it will start leaking due to age, dry rot, non-use, over-tightened etc...

What are you all using when replacing the fuel supply rubber portion that clamps onto each pump. I have one with a crack. By the looks of it not sure if I can just use hose or if I have to replace the entire supply line. Couldn't locate the parts TM.

I believe you are talking about fuel return line

The service TM calls it the supply line. They are the short hoses that come off the metal line. Maybe 4 inches thanks
