** DO NOT START ANY NEW THREADS OR POST TO OTHER THREADS TO DISCUSS INSURANCE **

In order to get insurance it all depends on you doing your own legwork since some of the information you are going to get from the Internet is going to be wrong and you may be in for a big surprise if you register and/or insure your truck incorrectly and you file a claim.

Now, is risking everything you own or may ever own worth taking the advice off of a web forum?

Here are some tips:
(Not to be construed as legal advice!)

1. Get a proper title or Bill of Sale if that is all your state requires. Title should have the correct name and model. (Not a Jeep if it is a Kaiser Jeep)
2. Make sure the paperwork matches the truck. Frame serial number and dash serial number.
3. Get the truck registered properly and this means making sure it does not get listed as a station wagon because it has troop seats. (It happens.)
It could be commercial, RV or historical or whatever but make sure it is what you want and it is correct.
4. When you have everything correct start looking for insurance.
5. Send pictures of your truck.

Here is a list of insurance companies that have been known to insure MVs:
(No particular order)

USAA
American Collectors
Nationwide
Gulfway (Possibly only 25 years and older now.)
Hagerty
Auto Club
Geico
State Farm
Erie Insurance Group
Tower Hill
Encompass
Amica
Progressive
Safeco
J. C. Taylor
Safeway
Farm Bureau (Removed Kentucky reference as the FB is all over.)
Met Life
AAA
Condon & Skelley
Continental Western Group
CHUBB

None of this legal advice. If you register your truck incorrectly and you hit someone or have an accident your insurance MAY or MAY NOT payoff if they feel you tried to sneak Kaiser Jeep in as a Jeep that was registered as a 4x4. You may think you pulled something over on the insurance company but I can guess that no one on this site has deeper pockets than the insurance company legal department.
