Found a scrapped 1008 bed in a local junk yard, bed was toast but it did have a couple of antenna mounts and a base. This base is much more complex than the one I currently have on my truck, just for looks.

It will take a different size lower antenna section also, it's an old school matching unit MX-6707

you probably have the newer AS-3900A/VRC singars type on your truck now. singars.jpeg

Back in the 90's, that was the hot antenna setup all the collectors were looking for to put on the back of M151's and etc. The fiberglass masts were always hard to find. Most of us were still running AB-15 type antennas.

Is it just the base of the whip antenna, are the other sections interchangeable? I have several of the lower sections, I guess I need to try them!
