Probably should look in my newer book -

You are probably looking in the Standard Catalog - first book I ever wrote, and well over 10 years old. I've learned a few things since then

He "wrote the book" on the subject; literally.

You can't get more authoritative than that.
Kudos to you, Mr. David Doyle!

Thanks David! You're correct in that I was referencing your Standard Catalog. I'll give this book a read.

Wikipedia lists the 967 as the tractor model, but 21 were built as wreckers.

I'm waiting on my father to get some MOAR photos. Maybe I'll be able to convince him to join this Site!

They have an old Diamond T at the (sort of) local transportation museum here. It's actually in Campo, CA, about an hours drive for me. Lot's of cool trucks and equipment and some military ones as well.

If you're in the San Diego area or close by and want to see some interesting vehicles, it's free (donations accepted). Everything is outside, so plan accordingly.

This Diamond T hauls a load up to 170,000 lbs, oh my!

My trucks may take diesel at the pump, but they run on FREEDOM!

Absolutely. And then document that in a thread:
    - You won't imagine how many people on-board here would eat that up (and I'll be first in-line).
