Basic and A1 armor questions

Hello all,
I have been looking through the 24P manual #1 on figure 267 about armor that mounts inside the body at the footwells and cowl sides. The manual is listing many part numbers for the same items. I'm curious as to why that is?
for example item #19 is the front footwell armor but it shows 4 different part numbers. I realize that one is for LH and one for RH, but that about the other 2?
Any inside on this type of armor and how it goes together?

There is a basic and supplemental version of each....I have both, basic is super thin, like 16ga and the supplemental is 12ga.

Ok that makes sense. Just like with the x doors, basic and supplemental.

The M102xx series trucks get the thin stuff....M104xx series get the thick stuff.

So...does the supplemental armor get used along with the basic armor? or is it just a stand alone package?

One or the other.
