machine gun mount -m38a1

Hi again, had a question on a machine gun mount I would like to buy. Its marked as a M3. I know its from a m151a1. question is does it fit a m38a1? will the base plate holes line up? Thanks for any help, as I don't have any knowledge of machine guns or mounts. Thanks Gabe

Yes, they will fit. At a time you could find the mounts every where. I got one from a guy who was going to make into a mailbox holder! I went a bought him a nice post for his mailbox, and he gave me the mount.

I forgot to add, you need to take off the bolt on extinction brackets at the base.
