Given the limited range of flexibility required, I wondered about a wrap or strap that would go around it in a figure 8 pattern and hold them on. Even something like strips of innertube that could be stretched tight to keep it from moving sideways and off.

Bought a set for one that blew off coming to a stop sign, rear-rear axle slide back, drive shaft popped off and destroyed itself...

Driver's lower. The rear end just just sits on the spring pack, it's not tied to it at all. There was enough room for it to slide back enough to pull the drive shaft out and turn into a propeller.

When the uppers bust loose is when the fun happens. I have had lowers bust loose at 60mph. Just feels like a trailer is pushing ya

The frequency of this seems to be increasing. Must be how long they last. I’ve lost 3 total on the last 2 off-road outings. All lowers so far. Upper seems to hold the axle from rotation. Sucks this is such a weak part and design. I get nervous wjen I hear the stories of them coming off on normal driving on flat hard ground. I’m convinced all 12 need to be replaced with and modified with a retainer mechanism to have any sort of reliability.

I have a 90% complete rear bogie that Wes brought me. It's missing an axle but everything else is there, to include torque rods and all the mounts. I've been taking some measurements with the intent to adapt the more common, and cheaper, captured T-bar style rods.

The axle mounts are fairly straight forward. The trunnion end mounting is more difficult but I've got a plan for that as well. It's as long term, bottom shelf project so don't expect much progress in the near future. I'm sure you know where I'm coming from there.
