Appels m916a2 hooklift truck

I bought a m916a2 from Bruce Kubu,I removed the winch and added a hooklift.It will be used in my excavating and roll off dumpster business.Great truck for what I need.

I am shocked that very few M916A2s have come out. I believe there have been more A3s that have been released than A2s for some weird (to me) reason. I would have thought the older trucks would have been released first. However, I have only seen a handful of A2s released and I follow the Freightliners religiously...lots of A1s, some A3s, few A2s. Anyone have any ideas about why that is?

Ha ha! Yup. Great looking truck, Howard. Glad you cleaned her up and are enjoying it! I'll let you know if I get up to CV; I plan to try to make it this fall. If I get up there, I'll give you some notice so we can meet up.

Well i recently removed the hooklift and converted it to a dump truck.It works great.

Looks great John, I was just curious as to why you did it? Just "needed" a dump more? Hooklift didn't work out? Just plain ol curiosity......................Love the pics!! THANKS!

I have 3 other hooklift trucks,needed a dump for some up coming work.I took this hooklift unit off and mounted it on a 2006 chevy c8500 4x4 truck.
