Got it towed over Sunday by that awesome Columbus Towing and Recovery.
Just a quick clean out and water wash --- I have some Wild Dog soap coming from Flynn Distributing that will remove a whole bunch of stuff to save on sanding time - will also kill that rust.
Needs drivers side floorpan - pass side can be patched. Needs pass side cab corner - cab mount as well replaced. pass rocker panel cab be patched. Needs some minor things under that hood as well.20170916_160153_001.jpg20170916_160204_001.jpg20170916_160214_001.jpg20170916_160230.jpg20170916_160244_001.jpg20170916_160252_001.jpg20170917_100536.jpg20170917_100550_001.jpg20170917_120305_001.jpg20170917_120315_001.jpg

That truck used to run very well....until Doc let it sit at my Terminal for about 8 years. I bet it will run again with some "tinkering".:papabear:

Zout what year does the data plate say it is? When reading over the years it seems that the media says that the 715 was not available until the late 60s. However I clearly remember seeing them at Benning in 1965. The 11th air assault (the test division) had a lot of them and other new stuff coming into the inventory. So if the truck came from the Benning area it might just be an early unit. If so it is one rare truck.

Will watch you do your thing. Another perfect resto........

TWM...aftermarket body panels like Gimp knew.

Maccus...great question...per the maintenance manual this wound up at Benning.
It was in service until 1998. 1967 is its build on the data plate.

I stated the above wrong....sorry.
Build was 67.
What we saw by the Army maintenance pack it stayed in service till 1998. Benning held it and listed it as a M998...Humvee.

Spring shackles and pins were rebuilt in 1992.
