Anyone tell me which way the handle faces.If you look from the side the housing is wedge shaped.Narrow part to the top or wide part to the top?

I am so confused by the question. Are you working on the M1009 rear window crank? If so it go wider side down to retain the contour of the gate and make the bell crank straight inside to engage the regulator.
